home of Bluegrass music and a great state park system. Put

– a series of four Bluegrass concerts held at three state
resort parks and the Frankfort Convention Center. The headliner

FRANKFORT, KY— Kenny Bishop was recently honored and
recognized by the Kentucky State Senate for his contribution
to the performing arts in the state. Bishop received a citation
of recognition that was sponsored on the motion of senators
Alice Forgy Kerr and Tom Jensen. The document cited Bishops
recent Grammy nomination and two Dove Award nominations, as

At the Kentucky Governor's Mansion Friday Executive Director
Kenny Bishop was busy overseeing holiday decoration preps.
But, his staff couldn't blame if he was still a bit distracted.
Thursday Bishop was nominated for a Grammy. Bishop is also
a gospel singer and his solo album, "Kenny Bishop,"
was nominated in the "Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass
Gospel Album" category. The other nominees are Alan Jackson,
Randy Travis, the Del McCoury Band and the Gaither Vocal Band.
Bishop says he has met all of the other nominees and knows
all of them, except for Jackson, well.
