Kenny Bishop Preparing Debut Release with Daywind Records
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.— Kenny Bishop was recently in Hendersonville, Tennessee laying down vocals on his highly anticipated project with Daywind Records. Produced by Woody Wright, the self-titled release features ten top-notch selections penned by such great songwriters as Jeff Steele, Sonya Isaacs, Becky Isaacs Bowman, Caleb Collins, Gerald Crabb, Adam Kohout, Dawn Smoot Doss, Woody Wright and Kenny himself.

"This project has been in me for a while. Not long after I escaped my rebellion, I developed a real desire to do something tangible for God. I also felt the need to let those who've held me in prayer for so long know that their faith has made a difference. So, we've been in the studio singing about grace, mercy and forgiveness. It's been a renewal of sorts for me, and even before the recording is made public, it has already encouraged healing in the lives of some who've been involved with the production," stated Kenny.

"More than anything, my heart knows grace right now. It is the thing that assures me of God's ability to completely receive me as a broken human and love me as a man on the mend. With all of the things that a disoriented wanderer accumulates, He didn't ask me to do anything but come home. I did, and I'm determined to see that other prodigals I've met along the way are aware of His love for them, and learn the way back."

"It had been a while since I'd been in a recording studio as an artist. Woody knew that, and he made sure the atmosphere was comfortable and productive. So many of my singing and musician friends are a part of this recording. Even with my crazy schedule in the Kentucky Governor's office, I've made an extra effort to be in the studio when they've come in to do their parts. I'm honored they would participate."

Best known for his years traveling and singing with his family group, The Bishops, Kenny has added his voice to top charting songs as "You Can't Ask Too Much Of My God," "Go Reach The World," "Lazarus Come Forth" and many others.
