recognized by the Kentucky State Senate for his contribution
to the performing arts in the state. Bishop received a citation
of recognition that was sponsored on the motion of senators

recognition back in January.

legislative chambers," Bishop said. "They often
express their appreciation and congratulations to me personally,
and I am grateful. But to be recognized officially, and to
have the certificate presented on the floor of the senate
chamber is a special honor indeed. I am very moved and honored."

also opened the morning session of the state senate by singing
the Lord's Prayer for the invocation.
